Un manque de sommeil peut par contre avoir une influence sur la fertilit\u00e9. Les nombreux d\u00e9fis du quotidien conduisent souvent \u00e0 r\u00e9duire la dur\u00e9e du sommeil. Du fait de l&#8217;inqui\u00e9tude et du stress, de plus en plus de personnes souffrent de troubles du sommeil, ne peuvent pas s&#8217;endormir ou dormir toute la nuit. Le manque de sommeil limite les performances, augmente l&#8217;irritabilit\u00e9 et rend plus vuln\u00e9rable aux maladies corporelles et psychiques, mais il a aussi une influence sur la fertilit\u00e9. La m\u00e9latonine et la leptine sont les hormones qui en sont responsables: la m\u00e9latonine \u2013 dite l&#8217;hormone du sommeil \u2013 est lib\u00e9r\u00e9e lorsque l&#8217;obscurit\u00e9 augmente et cause la fatigue du soir. Elle a aussi un r\u00f4le de protection sur les ovocytes. La leptine est un indicateur important de l&#8217;\u00e9tat \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique du corps: Si les r\u00e9serves sont \u00e9puis\u00e9es, l&#8217;hormone r\u00e9duit l&#8217;activit\u00e9 des ovaires. Dans le pire des cas, les r\u00e8gles peuvent m\u00eame totalement dispara\u00eetre. Il est n\u00e9cessaire de dormir suffisamment pour que la fertilit\u00e9 naturelle puisse \u00eatre exploit\u00e9e de fa\u00e7on optimale. Chacun est juge de la quantit\u00e9 de sommeil dont il a besoin. Ce devrait \u00eatre cependant un minimum de sept heures de sommeil. La dur\u00e9e du sommeil, mais aussi le respect d&#8217;horaires de coucher r\u00e9guliers sont importants pour une bonne qualit\u00e9 du sommeil. Un matelas de qualit\u00e9 pour le dos, de l&#8217;air frais et des temp\u00e9ratures douces dans la chambre sont n\u00e9cessaires \u00e0 un confort de sommeil correspondant. Des exercices de d\u00e9tente aident le soir \u00e0 trouver le calme int\u00e9rieur. Il est plus facile de s&#8217;endormir lorsque l&#8217;on n&#8217;a pris les heures pr\u00e9c\u00e9dentes qu&#8217;une nourriture l\u00e9g\u00e8re et succincte et que l&#8217;on renonce \u00e0 la t\u00e9l\u00e9vision, \u00e0 la tablette et au t\u00e9l\u00e9phone portable: ces appareils dispensent une lumi\u00e8re bleue qui emp\u00eache la production de m\u00e9latonine.
